  3. At 7.45 pm last night 2nd October 2009. Travelling from a SW direction a bright light travelled across the sky. It was quite large and seemed to have flames/ be on fire. It continued to travel in a NE direction. It did not flicker and there was no propulsion noise. My wife and I were outside for about 5 mins watching it until it eventually disappeared. What was it?

    • How long was it in the sky?

      Did you interact with it? With laser/flashlight? Did you asked it to make direction change?

      What size was the light at arm’s length? Bigger then a penny?

      More information would be great.

      • Hi It was in the sky for about at least 3 mins to my knowledge as we only saw it when it was nearly on top of us. We were sitting in the conservatory having dinner when I suddenly saw this bright light above. I initially thought it might be a police helicopter with its search light on. On going outside we could see it was a big ball of fire. It made no noise and we wathed it until it disappeared over the horizon. It seemed to have almmost an intense heat/flame coming out of it. Whilst we couldn’t feel anything you could see what in my view was intense fire.Unfortunately I did not have either a camera or torch to hand, but I would say at arms length it would have been about the size of a penny (1p) .
