CNSNews doesn’t get it, either

Let’s run through it again, s-l-o-o-o-w-l-y, for this annoying Internet pest called CNSNews.com:

Once upon a time, there was this guy named Laurance Rockefeller. Rocky was a billionaire. Rocky wanted the feds to declassify their UFO files. So in the 1990s, Rocky started this thing called the UFO Disclosure Initiative. He sent briefing papers to Bill and Hillary Clinton. He met with them at his Wyoming ranch in 1995. There are photos.

Additional details continue to dribble out of the Clinton Presidential Library via the National Archives. That’s largely because of the Freedom of Information Act requests filed by Canadian researcher Grant Cameron.

CNSNews.com threw another hissy fit on Monday, complaining about how the archivists are responding to the UFO stuff more quickly than FOIAs about “the 1993 health care task force headed by then-first lady Hillary Clinton, the Marc Rich pardon and the Clinton administration’s tracking of Osama bin Laden.” Yes, CNS is holding its breath and turning blue.

Montel turns the tables on a Fox Morning Television show

I wish I could find a way to support the people, that turns around and express their opinions like Mr. Montel Williams. And he lost his job few days after this demonstration.
I raise my hat to him.

About This Video
Jan/31/08 Let’s get Montel Back on the Air!!!
Variety just reported http://tinyurl.com/yppssw that The Montel Williams Show has been cancelled just 3 days after this clip went out. I hope it is not because he supported the troops. In any case please join this campaign to get him back on the air. For details and updates visit http://montelw1.wordpress.com/. Please forward this to all your friends and post as many comments and video responses as you can.

Jan/26/08 08:41 ET Montel Williams turned the question on live television when he choose to focus on the solders dying in Iraq rather than the passing of Heath Ledger. Montel did not return for a further segment.

BBC To Apologize For 9/11 Truth Hit Piece?

Scandal-hit network desperately scrambles to offset legal action over lies and bias in February 2007 documentary

Paul Joseph Watson

The BBC could be forced to apologize and admit mass public deception for airing a documentary on the 9/11 truth movement that was clearly riddled with errors, lies and bias, as the scandal-hit corporation desperately squirms to avoid a potential court case brought by a British scientist.

John A. Blacker, a qualified physicist & mechanical engineer and a member of Scholars for 9/11 Truth & Justice, is currently engaged in a pre-action protocol with the BBC in an attempt to settle out of court and get an apology from the broadcaster as well as a guarantee that the program will never be shown on television again.

In a letter to the BBC, Blacker cites a catalogue of errors, distortions and outright lies that were contained in the program, arguing that the documentary is an insult to those that lost their lives on 9/11.

There’s the Red Vote, the Blue Vote . . . and the Little Green Vote

This is the sad part about journalism. They can’t get the facts straight anymore. The fourth estate… is … dead…

Dana Milbank, you’re a sad thing and so is the Washington Post.

Federal law limits the participation of resident aliens in the political process. But it is silent on the role of extraterrestrial aliens.

This loophole has not been lost on the life forms who arrived on these shores aboard flying saucers with little more than the antennae on their backs. After years of suffering without suffrage, these beings are now seeking to play a role in the 2008 presidential campaign.

That, at any rate, is the considered opinion of the Paradigm Research Group, which held a news conference at the National Press Club yesterday to demand that presidential candidates support a “truth amnesty” to end the “government-imposed truth embargo on the facts confirming an extraterrestrial presence.”

“The truth amnesty disclosure project is reportedly recommended by the participating extraterrestrials themselves,” Alfred Webre of the Institute for Cooperation in Space announced to the humans-only gathering, next door to a speech on Iraq by Rep. Jack Murtha. “That is the specific extraterrestrial civilization which approximately 60 years ago entered into a top-secret CIA human-extraterrestrial liaison program.”

The 2008 presidential cycle has already been an abnormal one, and the candidates yesterday resisted this attempt to turn the race toward the paranormal.

“Let me check in with the mothership,” Phil Singer, a Hillary Clinton spokesman, answered when asked about the truth embargo.

“We’re more focused on lifting the government-imposed truth embargo on issues like the war in Iraq,” replied Bill Burton, a spokesman for Barack Obama.

Dismissive answers such as these from the two Democratic front-runners leave an opening for other candidates to claim the alien vote — a prospect that could create havoc in the primaries if large numbers of ETs are found to be living in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The likeliest beneficiary: New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who wrote a foreword to the “Roswell Dig Diaries,” a UFO book. “As a 25-year-old he was an employee of a secret CIA extraterrestrial liaison program,” Webre explained. “He has inside knowledge.”

But the knowledge must still be secret: His spokeswoman didn’t respond to an inquiry.

Also a favorite of the ET crowd is Dennis Kucinich, the Ohio congressman. “I’m sorry to out you, Dennis, but he knows a lot about this subject,” confided Stephen Bassett of the Paradigm Research Group. “If he brings it forward as a presidential candidate, he’s going to make some history.”

The Republican side is “really tough” for the UFO crowd, but Bassett gives his nod to John McCain, a former Navy pilot, over Ron Paul, who was an Air Force flight surgeon. “McCain has shown some displeasure with the way NASA has conducted its affairs,” Bassett reasoned.

More than anybody, Bassett has been working to elevate alien affairs as an issue in 2008. He filmed video questions for the CNN-You Tube debates; they weren’t selected. He urged George Stephanopoulos to ask the candidates about ETs; no luck. He wrote an article titled the “ET Ticket” — it gives the nod to Clinton and Richardson — for publications such as UFO Magazine. And, fresh from the weekend’s “X-Conference 2007″ convention in Gaithersburg, he rented a room at the press club yesterday to announce “new efforts to introduce the UFO/ET issue into the ongoing presidential campaigns.”

An economy-minded Bassett didn’t order a microphone for his event, and the “X-Conference” banner he bought on the Internet (“one-third the price of Kinkos!”) was too big for the room and had to be continued on a second wall. About 40 X-Conference conventioneers packed the room, far outnumbering the handful of journalists.

But none of this slowed Bassett, who treated the assembly to startling revelations: the “Jimmy Carter ET studies,” the “Rockefeller initiative toward the Clinton administration to end the UFO truth embargo” and the “1967 Malmstrom Air Force Base incident, where our SAC missiles were shut down by an ET craft hanging over the base.”

Not one of the participants or audience members cracked a smile. Neither did they giggle when Webre proposed an environmental rationale for the ET amnesty program, saying the aliens’ “advanced technology,” which uses nonpolluting fuel, could “revolutionize the transport of goods and people on this planet and rejuvenate the biosphere.”

The faces remained serious and earnest when Robert Miles, a film producer, announced plans to give each member of Congress a high-definition DVD titled “Fastwalkers: They Are Here.” On the cover, a mean-looking alien eyes the Capitol and saucers circle overhead. “Don’t tell me the American public’s not interested,” Miles challenged.

So far, however, the presidential candidates remain, well, alienated. Even Kucinich. “If you have a serious question, just ask me,” Kucinich spokeswoman Natalie Laber replied when told of the UFO crowd’s hopes for her boss. “If not, then just keep your silly comments to yourself.”

Major American News Media: Fair and Balanced?

I think Brian Hamby got it right here. The corrupted media. Was it ever different? I wonder if we could go back in time, and find any major news outlet, unbiased?

Novelist Jeffrey Archer in his work The Fourth Estate made this observation:

“In May 1789, Louis XVI summoned to Versailles a full meeting of the ‘Estate General’. The First Estate consisted of three hundred clergy. The Second Estate, three hundred nobles. The Third Estate, six hundred commoners. Some years later, after the French Revolution, Edmund Burke, looking up at the Press Gallery of the House of Commons, said, ‘Yonder sits the Fourth Estate, and they are more important than them all.”

(From Wikipedia)

Archer recognized the importance of the media to a functional government. It is what separates free societies from all others. It is very important that we do not always just accept at face value the news media, whether or not we think the media has an agenda to support or not. If we look at our own news media we can see that there is much to be desired and this demands we call into question their motives.

What should we expect of the news media? They should report the news. They should also be willing to ask important questions of those in key positions and be willing to help hold them accountable.

Post 9/11 we heard Bush’s war cries by reason of Hussein’s ‘weapons of mass destruction and the alleged Hussein connection with 9/11. If Wolf Blitzer and company had asked the questions that are only being asked now in hindsight, might the last few years appear much differently? Unfortunately this is not what happened and people like filmmaker Michael Moore were blackballed for their efforts to ask the questions that mainstream media again refused to ask but are slowly starting to ask now.

True in-depth news coverage would have been to ask those questions then. The questions were not asked then, so the logical next step would consider is why those questions were not asked. Whether one senses foul play or not, it does stand to reason that the questions need to be asked, and they need to be asked over and over again until we have satisfactory answers.

History Channel Hit Piece: Dirty Tricks, Malicious Lies & Journalistic Fraud

The real story behind Brad Davis, NBC, Popular Mechanics and the History Channel – media whore stooges who engaged in deliberate deception, manipulation and chicanery to please their corporate bosses.

MP3: Alex Jones Responds to the History Channel Hit Piece

The History Channel 9/11 special that aired last night was by far the worst hit piece we have ever witnessed, a completely savage, dishonest and deceptive abomination, replete with dirty tricks, malicious lies and a level of journalistic fraud that goes way beyond simple bias.

Bradley Davis, the producer of 9/11 Conspiracies: Fact Or Fiction, is a paid liar and a hit piece specialist who deceives people by gaining their confidence and then attacking them behind their back.

He is famous for the smear job documentary on Michael Jackson and makes a career out of conning people and then stabbing them in the back. His tongue is so smooth, that even the Loose Change crew were prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt on his impartiality before last night’s hit piece was aired, with Davis having tricked them into believing he was a friend.

Before filming began, Alex Jones asked Davis point blank if the documentary was going to be a hit piece, which Davis denied. After we brought attention to the History Channel’s blurb on their website, which clearly characterized the show as a hit piece, Davis panicked and promised to alter the promo, calling it a “misrepresentation,” as well as re-edit the entire program to make it more balanced. The promo temporarily disappeared from the website and the broadcast of the show was put back by a week.

History Channel Back-Pedals On 9/11 Hit Piece

Program description, broadcast date changed after pressure from Infowars readers

The makers of an upcoming two hour hit piece on the 9/11 truth movement have back-pedaled and altered the program description on their website after Infowars highlighted the blatant biased agenda of the piece and its multiple corporate conflicts of interest.

Yesterday we revealed how the so-called documentary, to be broadcast on the History Channel later this month, promises not to look at the flaws in the official story of 9/11 from a neutral perspective but to start out by suggesting that any deviation from the official line is “outrageous”.

The program description on the History channel read:

An Internet search for “9/11 conspiracy theories” yields nearly two million hits. Were the attacks on 9/11 perpetrated by the Bush Administration to advance its own interests? Could a government missile have hit the Pentagon? As outrageous as these ideas may sound, many people believe them. Why do these theories arise in the first place? An interview with James Meigs, Editor-in-Chief of Popular Mechanics, who refutes many of these theories. Watch as experts in the fields of aeronautics, engineering and the military put these theories to the test.

The idea that the Bush Administration would not lie about the orchestration of 9/11 and manipulate public sentiment in its aftermath, in spite of every other falsehood and manipulation it has engaged in, simply cannot be labeled “outrageous” from the off before an examination of the evidence has even begun. Not in any balanced piece anyhow.

We pointed out how James Meigs of Popular Mechanics is far from a neutral on this subject and in fact works under the very company that owns the History Channel itself, yellow journalism originators Hearst Corporation. The Popular Mechanics book Debunking 9/11 Myths is thus ultimately produced by the same people putting out this documentary.

A visit to the same page on the History channel site today reveals that the description has been altered to disguise the bias and hide the conflicts of interest.

All references to Popular Mechanics have been withdrawn and where it once read “As outrageous as these ideas may sound, many people believe them.” it now simply describes some of the main areas of 9/11 research:

Examines the various conspiracy theories espoused on the Internet, in articles and in public forums that attempt to explain the 9/11 attacks. It includes theories that the World Trade Center was brought down by a controlled demolition; that a missile, not a commercial airliner, hit the Pentagon; and that members of the U.S. government orchestrated the attacks in hopes of creating a war in the Middle East. Each conspiracy argument is countered by a variety of experts in the fields of engineering, intelligence and the military. The program also delves into the anatomy of such conspiracies and how they grow on the Internet.

In addition to the alteration of the program description, the broadcast date has been put back by one week. It remains to be seen whether this move has been undertaken in order to re-edit the piece to avoid further accusations of bias and conflict of interest, or is merely an attempt to let the attention it has already received die down before airing.

The History Channel still has not relented to our request to add a proviso, as do CNN when they carry a story about their parent company Time Warner, that their upcoming show is nothing more than an infomercial for the Popular Mechanics book Debunking 9/11 Myths and that any attempt to portray it as a neutral investigation would permanently taint the reputation of the channel.

In the event that James Meigs of Popular Mechanics is still featured to counter independent 9/11 researchers, it will become apparent that the History Channel and its parent company A&E Networks have not only set out to produce a bias hit piece but also that they have now blatantly attempted disguise that fact to an otherwise unwitting audience.

The piece still promises to “delve into the anatomy of such conspiracies and how they grow on the Internet”, so in place of serious debate of the overwhelming evidence of 9/11 prior knowledge and government complicity, viewers should still be prepared for an onslaught of pseudo psychologists telling them how delicate minds invent comfortable reality coping mechanisms or some such blathering nonsense.

We spoke to the producer Brad Davis about the upcoming show and he refused to comment on the conflicts of interest, but did tell us in a previous conversation that the show would be balanced, so we will reserve full judgment until the documentary is aired and then it will become immediately apparent if Mr. Davis was telling the truth or not.

(Source: http://infowars.net/articles/august2007/030807HistoryChannel.htm)

I love how the History Channel reacted. It is outrageous to see how biased and corrupted the fourth estate is. But again, did we ever have a real neutral press?
