Corrupt Politics is Covering Up the Truth About Global Warming

Another Figure speaking up against coverup!

James Hansen, head of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, is widely respected as one of the world’s leading climate scientists. He says the public is being lied to and duped by special interest groups about the severity of the threat that global warming poses. He also claims that policy makers and big oil executives are sacrificing public interest to line their own pockets.

“The problem is not political will, it’s the alligator shoes – the lobbyists. It’s the fact that money talks in Washington, and that democracy is not working the way it’s intended to work,” says Hansen.

Hansen told US Congress earlier this week that CO2 is already almost certainly at unsafe levels, and the situation will only become more dangerous the longer we continue to largely ignore the problem. Currently, CO2 concentration is 385 parts per million and is rising by 2ppm a year.

Buying MP’s votes

Hello,

Given the allegations reported in the Canadian media today that representatives of the federal Conservative Party offered a $1 million life insurance policy to former federal MP Chuck Cadman if he voted against the then-Liberal minority government in a crucial vote in spring 2005, I thought you would find interesting and useful my recently published op-ed on how loopholes in federal Canadian donations and gifts rules (and provincial and territorial and municipal rules), along with lack of effective enforcement, make it very easy for anyone to pay off (legally and illegally) federal MPs (and provincial and territorial members of legislatures and municipal councils) and senators and government officials in all levels of governments without getting caught, let alone punished. You can see the op-ed on the following Democracy Watch webpage: http://www.dwatch.ca/camp/OpEdFeb2508.html

Please send back any questions about the op-ed, or call me at

I look forward to hearing back from you.
