WMD LIES – Bush Cheney Rumsfeld etc. – THE ULTIMATE CLIP

Some footage I haven’t seen before. US Leaders are real clowns, and this all happened while kids are getting killed in IRAQ.

So how much longer before they impeach them?

America According to Ron Paul

It is exciting to chronicle the Ron Paul revolution of hope, liberty, and freedom. You can never accurately gage how far any grassroots movement will go, but his campaign shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Although he has taken on the mantle of leader, it is our actions that have brought success. He continues to perform well in debates and in interviews, and this quarters campaign contribution numbers are expected to be good, which will even further distance him from the bottom pack candidates and give him a better chance at becoming president. We have all witnessed the chuckles, snickers, the taunting, the ridicule, the misrepresentation, and the outright disrespect that some have directed his way. He is focused, refuses to engage in sandbox politics, and continues to put his heart, soul, and body on the line because he sincerely wants to make this country better. He isn’t an establishment type, and unlike other politicians, he doesn’t wish to further control our lives. America according to Ron Paul would be a safer, freer, more independent, and more liked nation around the world.

Ron Paul understands the importance of the constitution and national sovereignty. He believes that they are obstacles to the global elite, and that both are threatened by continued U.S. membership in the United Nations. He views the UN as an undemocratic body that serves as a forum for anti-Americanism, and doesn’t wish to see our armed forces under its control. He said, “We should stop worrying about the UN and simply walk away from it by withdrawing our membership and our money. We should demand a return to real national sovereignty, and respect other nations by rejecting our failed interventionist foreign policy.” The United Nations is the necessary mechanism in place for a world government that wishes to control all aspects of our lives. Ron Paul stated, “The choice is very clear: we either follow the constitution or submit to UN global governance.”

It is isn’t only the UN that we are ceding more and more sovereignty to. Other unelected and unaccountable organizations like the WTO are also a real threat. Ron Paul said, “the WTO is the third leg of the globalists’ plan for a one-world, centrally-managed economic system.” First of all, we don’t need a treaty to have trade, and both NAFTA and CAFTA are not about free or fair trade but represent government-managed agreements. Ron Paul is a co-sponsor of resolutions stating that Congress should not engage in the construction of a NAFTA Superhighway or any other agreement that promotes or advances the concept of a NAU. He said, “Any movement toward a North American Union diminishes the ability of average Americans to influence the laws under which they must live.”

US Officer refuses to join Iraq illegal war

On June 22, 2006, U.S. Army 1st Lieutenant Ehren K. Watada stepped forward as the first commissioned officer to publicly refuse deployment to the Iraq War and occupation. He faces court martial and up to 6 years imprisonment for refusing to deploy and for speaking out against a war that he believes is illegal.

Produced by David Rothmiller & Trick Dog Films, Inc.

In support of his courageous action, the Lt. Ehren Watada Campaign is working to educate and broaden the dialog on constitutional rights. The campaign is also involved with mobilizing grassroots action to insure that our government upholds Lt. Watada’s right to speak out and refuse to participate in illegal military action in Iraq.

Help us educate and mobilize others by signing the petition and making a donation to the Lt Watada defense fund.

Blogs helping expose Myanmar horrors

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know by now that Myanmar (or Burma) is in the midst of a violent crackdown against peaceful demonstrations by monks and other citizens.

Because of tight control of information, news from the capital city of Yangoon trickle out too slowly through regular media channels.

Here’s where the Internet and blogs step in to fill the void. For instance, take a blogger named Ko Htike, whose website has become one of the main outlets of information:

Armed with a laptop, a blogger named Ko Htike has thrust himself into the middle of the violent crackdown against monks and other peaceful demonstrators in his homeland of Myanmar.

From more than 5,500 miles away, he’s one of the few people getting much needed information out to the world.

He runs the blog out of his London apartment, waking up at 3 a.m. every day to review the latest digitally smuggled photos, video and information that’s sent in to him.

With few Western journalists allowed in Myanmar, Htike’s blog is one of the main information outlets. He said he has as many as 40 people in Myanmar sending him photos or calling him with information. They often take the photos from windows from their homes, he said.

Myanmar’s military junta has forbidden such images, and anyone who sends them is risking their lives.

Object Photographed over Oshawa, Ontario

I have another picture to share with you and readers in the field. Yesterday, on Saturday Sept.22, 2007, after 9:30 am at home in Oshawa, Ontario, I was outside on the deck facing west, noticing again these pulses or flashes of white-purple colour.

Being curious and camera ready, I took one picture, then seconds later a “low” flying Cessna flies over my house. One gets the feeling, that two parties are observing the area or each other?

I’ll leave it here with the photographic proof in the photo of description. The actual objects were “not” seen with the naked eye. My camera did obviously catch these two anomalies. Nice daytime picture anyhow.

TAKE CARE,

Paul S.

MSNBC: Libertarian Ron Paul has become ‘an Internet sensation’

MSNBC’s David Shuster marvelled on Tuesday that anti-war libertarian Rep. Ron Paul “has managed to develop a huge fan base online … especially among college students” in his bid for the GOP presidential nomination.

There are almost 30,000 Ron Paul videos on YouTube, and Paul has more than 64,000 friends on MySpace. Many articles about Paul on RAW STORY have received unusually high numbers of hits at story-recommending sites like Digg and Reddit, as well. (For example, Ron Paul: Republicans need Reagan’s courage, MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson invites Ron Paul to give ‘freedom tutorial’, and Ron Paul teams up with Dem candidate to end war.)

“I can’t explain it,” Paul told Shuster. “I’m bewildered but surprised and pleased as anybody else. But all I can say is maybe the message of liberty is very popular with young people.”

Paul said that if he had the kind of money the front-runners enjoy, he would use it to promote his message of a non-interventionist foreign policy and personal liberty. “We don’t need the Patriot Act, and we don’t need warrantless searches and we don’t need secret prisons,” Paul stated.

Paul said he would support the Republican nominee in 2008 only “if I can find one that’ll take the same position I have on the war, that we ought to end it and come home.” When asked what he would do with his growing support if he is not the nominee, he answered, “I guess the question is, what are they going to do with me?”

“They’ve sort of joined me spontaneously, and I’m delighted, but I would work hard to keep them together and to continue the process,” Paul continued. Though he cautioned that he had no interest in a third party candidacy, he emphasized that “this group of people now can be very influential. … I don’t think this is going to be just put away. I don’t think we can close these ideas off.”

Shape-Shifting UFOs

By Tim R. Swartz

There is no doubt that UFOs are strange. The fact that they are usually seen silently zipping around in our skies is weird enough; but throw in the fact that many UFOs that appear solid are seen to be constantly changing shape and size, it’s enough to drive any serious UFO researcher to take up butterfly collecting instead.

It is one of the great mysteries of UFOs, how can something that looks so real not behave like a solid object and change shape as rapidly as smoke in the wind? This has led to wild speculations on the true nature of UFOs and allowed skeptics to dismiss the entire phenomenon as simply misinterpreted natural events.

What hard-core skeptics fail to take into consideration is the thousands of diverse UFO sightings that have come in over the years that exhibit the same shape-shifting characteristics. A reported sighting of a weird object that changes shape can be a good way to distinguish a real UFO from one that is fraudulent.

UFOs are seen to come in all kinds of different shapes and sizes, ranging from saucers, ovals, cigars, spheres, rocket and triangular shaped. They can suddenly appear and disappear, only to reappear in a completely different location. They can split in two and rejoin again instantly. This has led to all sorts of heated arguments between UFO researchers who have a preferred shape, choosing to throw out cases that don’t meet their criteria. However, if you take into account all of the reports of UFOs seen to morph from one shape into another, then possibly the vast diversity of UFOs is not so difficult to explain after all.

CBS Interviews Disclosure Project Witness Dan Willis

CBS Special Assignment interviews one of the 20 Top Secret Military witnesses that went to Washington DC to testify before congress at the National Press Club. Dan Willis received communications regarding a US Navy ship reporting a UFO emerging out of the ocean and going out into space.

(Source + Video : http://vids.myspace.com)
CBS doing a better job now?

As you might already know, Dan Willis complained on the poor quality reporting CNN had done. They chopped important parts of his testimony. He also reported that the news reporter girl that did the interview garanteed it would be complete and Uncut. Dan reported that she was very upset to be forced to not give the full report.

It must be a difficult task for some reporters out there, when you have to make a living, and that you have to do things like this.

3 Titans of Asia Face Off: Who Gets the Biggest Chunk of Moon?

Amid a renewed burst of global space agendas, Asian spacefarers are racing to the moon. It seems everyone wants to ensure their piece of the lunar pie. Asian giants Japan, China and India are engaging in a race to map lunar resources and put dibs on the moon as a platform to eventually explore the planets beyond.

Japan may have sparked the Asian lunar race on September 14 when it successfully launched its first lunar orbiter. China will now launch its own moon probe before the end of the year, followed by India in the first half of 2008.

JAXA, as the Japanese space agency is known, will carry out more robotic missions before sending their own astronauts to the moon, said agency president, Keiji Tachikawa, in a brief interview Monday.

Missions to the moon and to Mars and international cooperation topped the agenda of a five-day global conference held recently in Hyderabad, India that brought together 2,000 space professionals, including scientists, astronomers and astronauts.

“There is a great revival of interest in exploring various planets,” said Sun Laiyan, head of the China National Space Administration.

China’s Chang’e 1 lunar probe is being transported to the launch site and “if everything goes fine, will be launched by the end of the year,” said Sun, adding that China will be considering their own manned moon mission if all goes well.

India’s Chandrayaan 1 lunar probe will be launched in March or April 2008, said B.N. Suresh, director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram. Preparatory work is in “full swing” at the Sriharikota space station in southern India, where the craft is being assembled, the launch vehicle readied and antennae installed to receive data from the moon, Suresh revealed.

Also in 2008, India will likely choose the target year for a human spaceflight to the moon, confirmed G. Madhavan Nair, head of the Indian Space Research Organisation.

Although mankind has had more than four decades of lunar missions, space scientists are still lacking basic knowledge about the moon’s origin, the minerals it contains and even whether or not it holds water that could support human life.

“There is a lot more known about the moon, but even after the current round of lunar missions, you will still have more questions,” said Indian scientist U.R. Rao, who did pioneering work on space launch vehicles.

Mineral samples from the moon contained abundant quantities of helium 3, a variant of the gas used in lasers and refrigerators as well as to blow up balloons. Space experts believe it could offer a solution to the earth’s energy shortages.

Technology for converting helium 3 to energy is still largely unexplored, but spacefaring nations are already talking about a permanent human presence on the moon where resources can be identified and studied. Nations are also increasingly looking beyond lunar missions to Mars and other distant worlds.

NASA aims to put a man on Mars by 2037, Michael Griffin, the administrator of the US space agency, indicated earlier this week, saying the orbital international space station targeted for completion by 2010 would provide a “toehold in space” for travel first to the moon and then Mars.

Japan’s 55-billion-yen (478 million-dollar) Kaguya is the largest moon explorer since the US Apollo missions back in the 1970s after six human landings—the only time mankind visited another world. But the vision and purpose of space explorations has changed dramatically since then. Several renowned astrophycists have called on mankind to seriously consider colonizing space as a means of preventing extinction.

“The moon is no longer a place for us to visit,” said JAXA’s Tachikawa. “We should consider inhabiting and exploiting it.”

While many agree with Tachikawa, humanity is still a “couple of generations away” from tapping viable commercial opportunities in outer space, including the moon, believes Franco Bonacina, spokesman for the European Space Agency.

“But we need to go back to the moon to go even farther,” he said. “The moon is a harbor — a kind of spare wheel — from where we can push to Mars.”

In the scramble to reach the moon, spacefarers risk duplication of effort, pointed out Indian scientist Rao, who called for cooperation between the world’s space agencies to avoid that.

“Everyone doing the same work would be a waste of resources.”

Rao is right, but as recently highlighted by the Russian underwater Arctic flag-planting debacle, humans tend to want to get there first to stake things off and make a claim to the coveted land in question—be it on Earth or beyond.

That’s No Moon

“I really do consider myself a spiritual messenger; I know it sounds freaky,” says Hill, adding that the UFO filmed over the Key Bank Tower is one of the same orbs he captured over Lake Erie. “There’s a huge story unfolding here. I think they’re absolutely sending us a message. I believe they are here to help us become a galactic society.”

“So here I come walking out of the TV station one night in November maybe a decade ago after our early evening newscast,” says Ted Henry of New Channel 5. “In perfect formation there were five large objects flying smoothly in my direction. It was stunning.

“What I saw was the undersides of five flat objects flying in exact formation. The front two were enormous, maybe the size of several football fields, and the three trailing were smaller, flying in a slightly irregular pattern.”

“What do I think they were? All I can really tell you is what I saw.”

Henry has talked about his sighting many times on the air. He puts the experience this way: “One thing is certain, for people who see something in the sky, as I did over Cleveland years ago, it can be a life changing experience.”

Abductions – Not All that Glitters is Gold

by Steven M. Greer, M.D.
Copyright 1996
Since the late 1970s, there has been an unprecedented focus in the UFO subculture and pop media on the subject of so-called ‘alien abductions’. A constant stream of books, videos, movies, lectures and the like have served to keep this subject in the forefront of our awareness. Across America, numerous cities have self-styled ‘abduction support groups’, and an increasing number of therapists have begun to counsel and advise alleged victims of alien abductions.

But we have found that there is something much stranger going on than ‘alien abductions’, and the truth about this matter is far more bizarre than the idea of ETs taking women aboard UFOs to create babies which incubate in space.

Before exploring the really bizarre – and scary – things going on with this phenomenon, let us first state what is obvious to all but the true believers and hard-core abduction aficionados: Not all that glitters is gold, and we are dealing with a multiplicity of phenomena, not a single phenomenon, as conventional wisdom now holds.

Let no one conclude, please, that what follows is a denial of the possibility that some, rare direct human-extraterrestrial contact has occurred. It is likely that it has, but these cases are like pure gold nuggets, which have deliberately and through human folly been hidden under a mountain of fools gold. It may superficially look the same, and glitter in the same way – but the difference is vast.

Here we step into a mixture of great mystery, deliberate covert deception, unbridled human foolishness and fear-mongoring, all blended together into a belief system which, if challenged, yields the challenger attacks from a myriad of sources. I am aware at the outset that the sharing of the perspectives which follow will induce in many a reactionary response to ’shoot the messenger’. But I beg for your patience, and just a bit of open-minded inquiry, lest we forever lose those few gold nuggets among the growing mountains of fools gold.

This is one of my favorite articles written by Dr. Greer. It puts a 1 million watts spotlight on abduction phenomenon showing how off track the UFO subculture’s interpretation is.

I just couldn’t picture, civilisations able to materialise matter, needing to do what people are saying is happening. Advanced Enligtened species wouldn’t do abductions, but some military compartment on earth could find advantages to make us believe they are…

Martian Southern Cap is Mostly Water Ice

Written by Fraser Cain

I’ll warn you right now, it’s raining Mars news today. Take cover. First up, we’ve got this interesting story. Planetary scientists at MIT have estimated that Mars’ southern pole contains the largest quantity of frozen water in the inner solar system (apart from the Earth, of course). Many people believed that frozen carbon dioxide was the predominant substance in the south pole’s cap, but nope, it’s water.

The research was led by Maria Zuber, MIT professor of geophysics, and the lead investigator for gravity for the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The project is funded by the NASA Mars Program.

Scientists have long suspected that the Martian southern pole was mostly ice and dust, covered by a thin coating of carbon dioxide, but they didn’t have a firm estimate. Zuber and her colleagues used topographical and gravitational data by three Mars spacecraft to find the volume and mass of the ice cap.

Once they had the volume and mass, they were able to calculate the density. The density of water ice is 1,000 kg per cubic metre, while the density of solid carbon dioxide (aka dry ice) is 1,600 kg per cubic metre. Their estimates calculated that the Martian southern pole is about 1,220 kg per cubic metre. That indicates that it’s mostly water, with about 15% silicate dust mixed in.

This makes the southern polar region of Mars the largest body of water in the inner solar system, outside of the Earth. Just in case that’s not clear, we’re talking about Mercury, Venus and Mars.

One thing that’s still puzzling astronomers is the fact that the polar cap doesn’t reflect as much as you would expect from a coating of ice. It’s believed that the silicate dust mixed in dulls down the cap’s reflectivity.

Zuber and her team are planning to estimate the northern polar cap.

NASA Dreams Up Exotic Earth-Sized Planets

Science fiction writers have been imagining other worlds for years, and now they’re going to get a little scientific help, thanks to NASA. The agency recently modeled a range of roughly Earth-sized planets, from the familiar to the exotic. Instead of thinking just about planets with Earthlike characteristics, they imagined every possible kind of planet that might exist around other worlds. This should keep the writers busy.

We’re not talking about familiar looking planets, with strange surface features and aliens with pointed ears here, we’re talking about the very extremes of planetary formation: pure water ice, carbon, iron, silicate, carbon monoxide, and silicon carbide, and others which could be mixtures of these various compounds.

I’m glad we getting into such important talks. Better late than never. There is a very important awakening happening, and it’s GOOD!!! It will definitively make things easier, when our space brothers land :)

Interview With Mike Fortson (II)

Note-Having recently passed the 10th anniversary of the so-called “Phoenix Lights” of March 13, 1997, the following is a continuation of a series of interviews/articles with and by direct eye witnesses of this monumental event.

Although many who witnessed this huge “V-shaped craft” have come forward, there are a great deal more who haven’t; research concerning this case is ongoing to this day, and it is our hope by highlighting the event(s) and the individuals who witnessed it, more people will come forward and share their experiences. Comments are always welcome, and if requested confidentiality will be honored-FW

Believers turn to the heavens at UFO conference

By MATTHEW MARTIN

A CONFERENCE in Rotorua aims to demistify people’s perceptions about “little green men” and “close encounters” of the extraterrestrial kind.

Tauranga woman Suzanne Hansen, co-ordinator of UFOCUS NZ, an organisation devoted to UFO research and investigation, and organiser of this weekend’s conference, is keen to give the sceptics some food for thought.

She says sceptics don’t bother to examine the evidence and generally write off believers as “nutters”.

“We are definitely not saying that every report that comes to us is some kind of alien craft.

“There is an overwhelming amount of credible evidence now.

You have top politicians in countries like Canada who say they know this exists, top physicists saying people’s experiences of alien technology cannot be made up.”

She said her own experiences had been very real.

“I know what I have seen and have got my feet firmly on the ground.”

In 1962, aged 8, she experienced her first close encounter with “an orange cigar-shaped object that hung in the sky for an hour-and-a-half”.

The object was seen by her family, neighbours and hundreds of others in the skies above the Bombay Hills before it flew off toward the South Waikato. It was even reported by the media.

“For an 8-year-old it was pretty amazing, I have had an interest in this sort of thing since then.”

Among the speakers at this weekend’s conference is former nurse, midwife, health educator Mary Rodwell, a former UFO sceptic herself. She now believes a human genetic engineering programme is being carried out by extraterrestrial species which is part of an “upgrading” of homosapiens.

“We are not being changed into some kind of robotic or biological fodder. Most logical thinking people realise that in this vast universe that we can’t possibly be the only intelligent life out there.

“The most sceptical of the most sceptical are usually the viewers themselves – because they want to prove to themselves they are not crazy and so they are constantly questioning their reality,” Mrs Rodwell said.

“I want to be sure I’m not misleading people and coming from a place of integrity as well.”

This weekend’s two-day Future Perspectives conference is being held at the Rotorua Convention Centre. Sceptics are welcome and can register online at www.ufocusnz.org.nz.

Jacques Vallee Interview at C2C Sept 17th, 2007

I don’t have to say a lot about this I guess! Things were kinda shaken up when it was known that the incomparable Dr. Vallee was visiting C2C with Da Noor Man on Sept 17th, 2007! I was taken by surprise and had lots of expectations! But with Da Noor Man, may be I should have kept my expectations low. Vallee was fantastic as always and he discussed his absence, at least publicly from the UFO circuit and also his theories about the reality of the phenomenon itself. He also discussed some of his experiences with the late Dr. Hynek about his role in convincing Dr. Hynek that there was some element of truth to the nature of some ufo sightings.

Vallee also discussed his forthcoming appearance at the International Remote Viewing Association 2007 Remote Viewing Conference on October 20th. He was joined by Paul Smith about the event.

But the sickening thing about this rare event was the clownish behavior of George Noory. He obviously didn’t understand a shit about Vallee’s ideas and his questions were not that good. I am no fan of Art Bell, but I guess Bell would have done a better job, so would have Ian Punnett.

All in all, given the rarity of this interview, it’s still time to celebrate the work of Vallee. I am posting the download link for the interview at usaupload. I am posting Hours 2, 3 and 4. The ass clown Ed Dames was on in the first hour of the program, so it is not included. It is one zip file and upon unzipping you will have three mp3 files. By the way, they are commercial free D

UFO Causes Witnesses Hair To React On Her Arm – Peterborough, Ontario

Date: September 19, 2007 Time: Approx: 3:00 a.m.

Approach Direction: In the east. Departure Direction: Towards the west. Witness Direction: The east.

Description: I was woke up by a sound and light. I went to check it out and that’s when I saw the light or object. It felt like an electric current mild causing the hair on my arms to react. I called my daughter to witness this.

Color/Shape: Not like a solid shape. It was flashing red and blue, but mostly white and very bright like an energy ball or lighting.

Height & Speed: Not sure, as it was just hovering but it left quickly no noise just headed west but then it was just gone.

TV/Radio/Press: Not sure, as I did not report it.

Additional Information by HBCC UFO Research.

Hello Brian

Below I added the information requested and attempted to draw what we saw though it is not the greatest. Just to give some back ground info. My parents and I viewed UFOs many years ago and (name removed) used to visit my family. I have not had any experience with UFO sightings since that time and it’s been over 39 years until recently. Any insight or information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I have recently thought of applying under the Freedom of Information act since the recent sightings though I am not sure if it would be useful. Is there a local contact person who is involved with UFO sightings? Thanks.

A couple question for you Cindy if you would be kind enough to answer for us.

Q. – What was the date of the sighting. The only thing given was the time, which was approx: 3:00 a.m. Very important to have the date.

A. – It was on Wednesday September 19 2007 and ongoing now for the last few days at the same time. It woke my daughter and I up. We had some guests on the weekend and the one person was woke up around the same time we woke this was on the Friday Sept 21 2007.

Q. – Roughly how close was the object to your location, or away from you at the time of the sighting ?

A. – Perhaps less than a mile? Just across the river at first but came closer to our house.

Q. – How long were you able to see this for ?

A. – I think that we viewed it for about 15- 20 minutes.

Q. – Can you please tell me where the colored light was emanating from on this object, or was the colored light moving throughout it ?

A. – The colors blue and red are part of this object that appeared to be round like a lightening ball at least that’s how best I can describe it.

Q. – Roughly, what would you estimate the altitude of the object was when you were observing it ?

A. – Tree top level.

Q. – What were the weather conditions at the time of the event ?

A. – It was fairly clear but some light pollution.

Q. – When the object left, did it leave a trail or some type of tail behind as it moved ?

A. – Nothing.

Q. – I am not sure how old your daughter is Cindy, why I ask is would it be possible for her to also send in a report ? Just trying to get as much detail as possible.

A. – She is 15 and I will ask if she will write one up.

Seven CIA Veterans Challenge 9/11 Commission Report

Raymond McGovern

September 23, 2007 – Seven CIA veterans have severely criticized the official account of 9/11 and have called for a new investigation. “I think at simplest terms, there’s a cover-up. The 9/11 Report is a joke,” said Raymond McGovern, 27-year veteran of the CIA, who chaired National Intelligence Estimates during the seventies. “There are a whole bunch of unanswered questions. And the reason they’re unanswered is because this administration will not answer the questions,” he said. McGovern, who is also the founder of VIPS (Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity), is one of many signers of a petition to reinvestigate 9/11.[1]

IN CASE OF MARTIAL LAW, BREAK GLASS

IN CASE OF MARTIAL LAW, BREAK GLASS, By Dale Allen Pfeiffer
Monday, 17 September 2007
Reprinted from MOUNTAIN SENTINEL

Bush now has the ability to declare martial law at his own discretion, and in so doing dissolve the other branches of government, throw out the constitution, and suspend elections. He appropriated the right to do this largely by executive order. He can declare martial law whenever he deems there is sufficient cause; cause being an act of terrorism, an economic crisis, an act of war, civil unrest, or a natural catastrophe. For more information about the executive orders and legislation granting Bush these rights, please watch the short video at mountainsnetinel.com (What We Choose to Ignore), or visit the US Martial Law Timeline.

Hard as it might be to believe, there is a very real possibility that Bush will exercise these rights before his term ends. All he needs is an excuse. At present, the economy is on the verge of collapse, the Iraqi Occupation is going badly no matter what Bush and his chosen generals say, energy supplies are unable to keep pace with demand, disapproval of the Bush administration is growing, and Bush wants to attack Iran and so complete his Middle East conquest. He has all the reason in the world to declare martial law. All he lacks is a sufficient excuse.

Many people who follow the news are worried that Bush will declare martial law sometime in the months ahead. If natural crises prove insufficient, they are afraid that he will stage another 9/11. The current economic climate is very similar to the climate at the time of 9/11, though the present brewing economic hurricane will be much worse than the dot.com bust. The economic crises we currently face could very well result in bank closings, the crash of the US dollar, and the impoverishment of a large segment of the US population. What is more, with peak oil and the dawn of a new era of energy depletion it is unlikely that we will be able resuscitate our economy once the collapse is complete.

In the past couple weeks, we have heard about nuclear weapons being “mistakenly” shipped across the country onboard B-52 bombers. These weapons, which have a very limited capacity, were accidentally shipped to one of the bases that coincidentally functions as a staging grounds for the Middle East. While it is possible that these weapons were intended to be used for tactical strikes against Iran, I think it more likely that they were going to be used on US troops in Iraq, or perhaps even citizens within the US. A nuclear terrorism attack would clear the way for an immediate attack on Iran and provide a sufficient excuse to declare martial law within the US. (See Was a Covert Attempt to Bomb Iran with Nuclear Weapons foiled by a Military Leak? by Michael E. Salla, M.A., Ph.D.)

This sounds far-fetched and paranoid, doesn’t it? Well, word is circulating around Wall Street that billions in put options were made at the end of August. Put options are short term bets that a corporation will do poorly. From the number and size of these puts, some big players are betting that the stock market is going to take a major fall before the end of September. The last time there was a move in put options this large was just prior to 9/11.
(See Dispelling the ‘Bin Laden’ Options Trades, ‘Bin Laden’ Options Trades Have Wall Street Whispering, and $4.5b bet on another 9/11 within 4 weeks)

Whether or not there are plans to stage another terrorist event, the fact remains that Bush has cleared a path towards establishing a dictatorship within the US. Given Bush and Cheney’s psychological profiles, it is unlikely that this pathway was cleared for altruistic purposes, and it seems equally unlikely that they will not now take advantage of it. Nor did Bush clear this pathway for some future president. Bush and Cheney are both far too selfish and egotistical for that. So it is likely that Bush will walk this path sometime before the next election.

Now the question arises, what will we do if Bush declares martial law and usurps our government?
